A superb method for stretching (gauging) will be the use with the taper. A conical rod about two to three inches in length is lubricated in addition to pushed through the existing pierced hole until the widest part from the taper is even with the skin of the lobe. Parallel to the back again finish with the taper larger jewellery will be pushed by way of. The large finish of the taper is where the assess dimension is taken in addition to most tapers will probably be manufactured of acrylic or surgical steel.
Dead extending demands no gear plus is performed by forcing a larger piece of jewellery into an existing piercing. This method can lead to tears with the skin or a blowout.
Most professionals suggest making use of the Teflon tape stretching approach through which gauges for ears are removed in addition to coated with one application of tape in addition to reinserted into the ear to get a period of time. Then this process is repeated including an additional layer of tape to stretch the piercing till it's significant sufficient for your preferred sized jewelry.

It really is usually not done by most youthful individuals here as it may damage the ear and additionally require reconstructive surgical procedure.
Scalpelling involves employing a scalpel to expand the diameter with the piercing and also this method is often utilized to alter the area of the big piercing slightly.
Silicone plugs are produced of a extremely gentle materials which could be inserted into the piercing allowing for a superb sized stretch. They increase with temperature changes and also the tacky floor can lure infection with an airtight seal.

Rollbak Tonneau Cover Review
It is a retractable tonneau cover which retracts into a canister behind the truck cab. The canister is made of a rugged ABS which is very durable and with its rounded design is made to expel water. The average canister is about 8.5 inches in diameter and some are even smaller which leaves you with an added space under the canister in the front of the truck bed.
The side rails are lined with high density polyethylene which is even better than Teflon as Teflon freezes. You never have to grease this, and it will work well in all types of weather. Hot, cold, wet or dry, this cover is made for all weather.
The slats of the rollback retractable tonneau cover are made of powder coated industrial strength aluminum strong enough to withstand over 400 pounds. The slats are designed to channel water to the side tracks and then to the ABS canister and then out the bottom of the truck through hoses. The way the slats are designed, even if any water does get through the surface of the slats, it is still channeled to the side tracks.
The system is designed to stop every twelve inches as you close it so you can close it pretty much anywhere you want. The Rollbak truck bed cover locks automatically when closed all the way. There is no visible latch or locking system as it latches underneath the tonneau cover. You have to open the tailgate to access the latch for the truck bed cover. Then if you install a locking tailgate latch your tonneau cover is a very secure storage area. You can lift or lower the tailgate without moving the tonneau cover and the stake holes along the side of your truck bed remain uncovered which is great for any type of rack you use or tie downs.
The powder coat flat paint is a very durable finish which you can wax as you would the rest of your truck body. The installation is a no drill clamp system, but many applications use two self tapping screws at the front inside corners.
Listening to testimonials, mostly everyone loved the look and action of the Rollbak tonneau cover. However they pretty much all had a problem with the instructions that came with the truck bed cover. They were pretty vague and conflicted with the installation video on the Bak Industries website. It seems they were all able to get through the installation but would be much faster at it if they had to do it again. Even with the poor installation instructions they all said it was worth the troubles once they had it on.

Cookware Solutions in My Kitchen area
If you've a kitchen within your home or apartment then you are going to have to have kitchenware in it. A kitchen with out kitchenware is a bit like a automobile with no wheels, in quick you may not go anywhere. In this day and age there are many alternatives regarding various cooking utensils. The most common ones will either be created from stainless steel or non-stick or Teflon and aluminum cookware. All three of these have their pros and cons, so choosing one specific will depend generally on your budget. The following post will talk much more in depth concerning the different types of cookware.
Metal Kitchenware
Out of all of the distinct components kitchenware might be produced from stainless metal is by much probably the most frequent material. Most in the best chefs in the globe use steel. Even nevertheless it is referred to as stainless steel, quite a few folks don't know that it's not composed entirely of steel Yes steel is an alloy of steel chromium and nickel. The alloy is graded with certain amounts to determine its quality. The quantities are 18/0, 18/8 and 18/10. 18 denote the percentage of Chromium present inside the alloy. The 0, 8 and 10 shows the percentage of nickel present in it. That means 18/0 would have no nickel present, which may be the lowest grade. 18/10 may be the highest quality stainless steel.
Occasionally steel cookware will probably be laminated with lightweight aluminum or copper. This really is carried out since stainless metal on its own is not a great conductor of heat. There's yet an additional kind of stainless steel cookware referred to as tri-ply cookware. It is when 3 different types of material is bonded together to consider benefit of each and every metals plus points. An instance of this would be a vessel that carries a copper interior, aluminum from the middle and metal as the exterior.
Aluminum Cookware
As far as lightweight aluminum cookware merchandise are concerned there are 2 various types. They're regular lightweight aluminum and tough anodized aluminum. Normal aluminum just isn't used as widely anymore these days. The reason for this can be simply because there have been completely some wellness hazards linked to aluminum though it has not been confirmed beyond doubt that aluminum just isn't healthy. To circumvent this difficulty metallurgists have appear up with tough anodized aluminum. This sort of aluminum is set via a chemical process which provides it a protective coating and can make it safe to use. This way you can take advantage of aluminums very good attributes including its light weight and excellent heat conducting properties. Think it or not tough anodized lightweight aluminum is 30 percent more stiff compared to steel! Each stainless steel and light weight aluminum is offered with non-stick or Teflon surface.

How to Install a Nitrous Filter
When working on a nitrous kit it will be very important to watch for the filter that is used for the kit. A nitrous filter should be used to help with getting the nitrous kit to be protected from any harmful materials that can impact the effectiveness of the nitrous kit. Installing one of these filters is very easy to do.
In order to install a nitrous filter it will be important to look into the size of the solenoid on the nitrous kit. A nitrous filter will work to fit different types of assemblies. The NPT, or national pipe thread size, of the filter will be important to consider because of how some filters will have an NPT of a quarter of an inch or one eighth of an inch. The filter will need to be of the right size for the installation process to work properly.
The filter fitting will need to be inserted into the solenoid on its inlet port. This will be the same for both the nitrous and fuel solenoids.
When getting the fitting inserted into the solenoid the solenoid itself should be in a bench vise. This is so that it will be easier to get the solenoid to be worked on. The vise should not be tightened too greatly because if it is too tight the solenoid can become damaged and the filter will not be able to work as well.
If a pipe thread is used for the nitrous filter then Teflon paste can be used. This material is a durable material that will work to help with sealing the connection between the filter and other parts of the nitrous kit. It is best to use this instead of Teflon tape because the tape can come apart with ease.

A Primer on Plumbing Pipes
Some time in the past 30 or 40 years, I remember an initiative to get truth in advertising. I don't know how successful it was, but one industry that apparently wasn't affected by it is the plumbing industry. I can't think of any other industry that has as many definitions for what a 1/2" or any other size pipes are.
One would think that 1/2" copper tubing would be the same, no matter what, but the sad truth is that 1/2" rigid copper pipe has a different outer diameter ( OD), then 1/2" flexible copper pipe. Fittings for one will not work on the other. If you want to use both you would have to purchase an adapter. The same thing can be said for plastic pipe, a piece of 1" black ABS pipe is not the same size as 1" white PVC plastic pipe. Again to use both, a home owner would need a buy an adapter.
To help eliminate some of the confusion, here is a primer on plumbing fittings and connections.
Rigid Copper Pipe:
Used mostly for hot and cold water lines within the house. The best tool to cut rigid copper tubing is a pipe cutter. The pipe is placed in the cutter, and the knob is turned down, which brings the pipe into contact with the cutter wheel. As the cutter is rotated around the pipe, you continue to tighten the wheel, until you have cut through the entire pipe.
There are two ways to connect copper pipes together. The first is to solder or sweat the pipes together. The second is the use of compression fittings. Soldered fittings are much less expensive then the compression, but take a little more work to make a leak free joint.
When you sweat copper pipes, the first thing is to clean the ends that you are going to sweat together. then flux is applied to both the pipe and the fitting you are connecting to it. The pieces are placed together, and heat is applied to the union with a propane torch. When the union is heated enough, solder is applied to the joint, the solder is sucked into the joint, sealing the two pieces together. From experience, I can tell you take to make this work successfully, there must be absolutely NO WATER in the line, if there is the joint will leak. And once a joint leaks , there is no repairs without replacing the fitting and starting over. Professional plumbers tend to use a hotter source of heat, then the propane bottle can provide. But I'm always concerned about using any heat source inside my house. If you choose this method, be very careful with the torch in tight spaces. It might be a good idea to have a fire extinguisher handy.
Compression fittings do not require heat. A common place that compression fittings are used is at the water shut off valves beneath your sink, or toilet. But there are many other places that you can use them. To make up a fitting using a compression fitting, start by cutting the inlet pipe to length, using a pipe cutter. Place the compression nut and compression ring over the end of the pipe, as shown above, then insert the pipe into the compression seat. Then using two wrenches, one to hold the fitting and the other for the compression nut, tighten the compression nut completely. This forces the compression ring unto the pipe, creating a water tight seal.
Compression fittings are not fool proof. If the pipe is not seated all the way onto the seat, the joint will leak, thus it is imperative that the end of the pipe be cut flat. Compression fitting are designed as a one use only device, if it leaks cut out the offending piece and start over again. Also the pipe must be completely cleaned before you start, any dirt or corrosion on the pipe will create leaks. Tightening the compression nut in confined spaces may require to use of special tools like crows feet wrenches.
Flexible Copper Pipe:
This is used mainly to connect natural or propane gas to your house. It is normally connected to the appropriate devices with the use of compression fitting designed for the flexible pipes. Flexible copper pipe is suitable for being installed under ground. Flexible copper pipe may look like a great choice for indoors plumbing runs, but it is not recommended for that use. Also the limited amount of fittings available make this a less then perfect choice. Flexible copper fitting are NOT interchangeable with fittings for rigid copper pipe.
Some professional plumbers are currently installing flexible water pipes, but these require special tools and fittings, that are not available to the DIY'r. Not all municipalities allow for the use of flexible pipes for water delivery with in the home.
Rigid Pipe:
This pipe comes in either black iron or galvanized pipe. Black iron pipe is normally used to run natural gas inside the home, while galvanized is used mainly for water lines. The ends of these pipes are threaded, as are the connecting pieces. You simply screw the pieces together, after applying either plumber's tape or pipe dope.
Plumber's tape is made of Teflon, and is white in color. You should apply it to the male end of the pipe, by running the tape around the pipe several times. Install the tape in the opposite direction, then the male end of the pipe will thread into the female union. Before you thread the two pieces together, be sure to clean out any remaining Teflon tape on the inside of the female threads if you are re using the fitting. There is a Pink Teflon tape, that used solely for making up connection is natural gas lines. Pipe dope, is actually a thick paste that is applied to the threads using a brush. If you are reusing a fitting that has had pipe dope applied before, you must clean both the male and female threads, using a wire brush and a pick, much like the ones that the dentist uses to clean our teeth.
To connect two pieces of pipe together or to install an adapter or fitting, use two pipe wrenches. The first wrench is used to hold the pipe, while the second one is used to turn the fitting or adapter. While you may not use a pipe wrench all that often, this is not the place to go for the bargain priced tool. Sometimes it takes considerable energy to loosen a threaded joint that has been in place for several years. The cheaper wrenches tend to slip, which can cause injury to you or cause damage to you home.
Recently galvanized pipes have gotten some bad press, when used for water delivery. Apparently the insides of the pipes are releasing chemicals into the drinking water, so it is advised that you stick to either copper or the newer flexible pipes for water delivery.
Plastic or PVC/ABS Pipes:
PVC ( Polyvinyl Chloride) pipe is a white plastic pipe that is used to supply both hot and cold water to the interiors of many homes. This product is very flexible and easy to use. There are two ways to cut PVC pipe, either use a hand saw or miter saw to cut large diameter pieces. Smaller diameter pieces can be cut using hand held PVC cutters. To connect PVC pieces, you first cut the pipe to length, then using a cleaning solution designed for the pipe, clean both the ends of the pipe and the connecting piece. A special glue is then applied to both pieces, and the pieces are pushed together. The glue sets, within a minute, so it is vitally important that the pieces be aligned properly when pushed together. There is a very limited amount of time that you can maneuver the pieces. It is a very good idea to use a scribe line to indicate to proper orientation of two mating pieces.
ABS ( Arcylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a black plastic pipe that is used for drain, waste and vent (DWV) plumbing in today's homes. This product replaced the cast iron pipes found in many older homes. ABS is worked in much the same manner as the PVC pipe. It can be cut with hand saw or powered miter saw. It uses a cleaner and glue similar to the PVC pipes, only this is designed for the ABS pipes.
When you are gluing either of these products, it is recommended that you use a pair of disposable gloves to protect you hand, unless you like picking dried glue off your hands for several days. Also it is recommended that you work in a well ventilated area.
Generally, you will not see both white and black plastic pipes connected together. One exception to this is maybe found under the sink. A lot of manufacturers are making "P" traps, shown here in black ABS, for the sink drains out of white plastic.
Because of its flexibility you may find homes in earth quake areas plumbed with PVC rather then the conventional rigid copper pipes. There was a lot of bad press in the 90's about PVC pipes breaking within the walls of homes, this was traced to specific manufacturers, and shouldn't be seen as a condemnation of the product.
The PVC and ABS pipes are not sized the same. a 1 " PVC will not connect to a black 1" ABS fitting. This may have been done to keep us from inadvertently using the wrong pipe for the wrong application, but it sure is confusing. I mean a 1" pipe should be a 1" pipe.
I hope this helped clear up some of the confusion about the many options offered to us by the plumbing manufacturers. A word of advice learned the hard way, check to be sure that all your fittings do actually connect before you leave the store or you may find yourself making return trips to your DIY store as I've done many times.

Kitchen Products - Cooking Pots
It's essential of any kitchen in whole world is to have at least one cooking pot. No kitchen may miss such a necessary part of kitchen products.
Types of Material
The main substances that have been used since earlier periods of history are probably metallic; brass, iron aluminum are the first materials man made cooking pots from. Later on, other substances such as stainless steel and glass has joined the group
A tour inside a kitchen products store shows the numerous types of pots that meets any costumer taste and needs.
Metallic cooking pots have more disadvantages than benefits; the ability to interact with food ingredients especially those that contain citric acid or similar substances is probably the most serious problem anyone can think of before deciding what pot ought to be bought. On the other hand, these types of cooking pots come with a variety of different sizes more than the other pot types; you can see some extra large aluminum pots, for instance, which are certainly suitable for charity feeding or something similar.
Glass is the new type of cooking pots that is nowadays widely used; many shapes of heat resistant glass pots can be seen on the shelves of kitchen products stores. The best benefit to get from using these pots is their safety for use because it may not interact with any food type and so it's a very healthy cooking material to be used, but there may raise a little note about glass pots; it's so delicate and may break under any direct change of temperature. This is because of the matter of the extension ability under high temperatures and the ability to shrink under low temperatures.
Stainless steel is fairly good to cook in and can produce a well suited delicious dish, but you can't leave food in it afterwards; it should be stored in a glass pot.
TEFLON Coated
Teflon coated pots are so popular and a wide range of housewives are using this kitchen product. It has some good advantages; it's a good solution for using metallic pots and avoiding the bad effect of interaction with food being cooked in through this thin coat of the Teflon material, another good point for the Teflon coated cooking pots that food doesn't stick at the bottom even without using any oil or water.
Modern researches have shown the concentration of the Teflon substance in the human body and this might influence the health of the coming generations
Slow and Pressure Cooking Pots
Slow pots are somehow good for cooking if you don't mind the matter of time, but in the same time they produce a well cooked dish with all its juices. This kitchen product can be in some point of view a good member of your cooking-pots family.
Pressure cooking pots are also another kitchen product. Its fast good resulted cooked dishes give it a popular reputation. Except the fear of being exploded, nothing to worry about when using it

To keep your compound bow as good as new you will need to look after it, although as a mechanical device it will be prone to wear and tear like anything else. There are however some simple maintenance checks you can do to keep it in top notch.
Check the strings and cables
You will need to apply a light coating of bow string wax every fortnight at least to keep them performing at their best and protect them from damage. When considering which wax to buy it is worth paying extra for a high quality brand rather than cheap alternatives as it will pay for itself in the long run and you will usually get more from the strings and cables this way.
They will most likely need replacing every year or 2 years, but be sure to check them regularly for signs of wear and tear or weaknesses. As soon as you notice this, it is time to get them replaced. This requires a special bow press and you will need to take it to a professional to do this.
Eccentric Lubrication
The axles will need to have some special lubricant applied every 1000-2000 shots. The lubricant should be Teflon or silicon based if possible or quality grease. Lubricating oils like WD-40 will harm the bow so keep away from them - they can also collect dust and dirt which will reduce the performance.
Centershot calibration
The centreshot calibration is the fine tuning of the shot upon the power path of the string, and will keep your bow accurate. This is quite easy to align and all you need to do is move the arrow rest either to the left or the right depending on where it sits at the moment. A release shooter should line up the shot with the power path of the string. Finger shooters though will need to place their shot so the tip is a slightly outside the string's power path.
These maintenance tips will keep your bow shooting as good as it did when you first got it. If in doubt you can always take it to a professional to do this for you, but try and learn yourself as it only takes a few minutes to do every now and again.

Do Bio Wheels Really Work - Cutting Through the Hype
There is a lot of information about bio wheels and their importance in bio filtration in aquariums. In theory they are great idea and I bought into this idea for years without testing the results to see if the hype was true. In theory the wheel turns into the air where oxygen the aerobic bacteria need to remove ammonia and nitrites is much more abundant. But after many a wheel stalling with the many customers I serviced aquariums for I decided to start testing these wheels vs. other bio filter methods.
I removed the bio wheel on penguin filters on comparable aquariums with comparable bio loads and fish and found no discernable ammonia spike. Yet when HOB filters that had running Sponge Pre Filters attached to their intakes were removed, there were discernable ammonia spikes. This is not to say a bio wheel does not work at all, especially there is less build up deposits on the bio wheel fiber.
What is much more important is to have an adequate amount of dissolved oxygen through agitation of the water surface which is where oxygen and other gasses are exchanged from the atmosphere and the aquarium. This is also important for the aquarium Redox not just the aerobic bacteria. I have found a porous sponge filter media to maintain more bacteria in well oxygenated water.
Here are a few reasons behind the poor results of bio wheels:
[1] Hard water buildup; although not as much a problem in soft water aquariums, this is a major problem with hard water aquariums and especially marine aquariums (where these bio wheels are a total waste of money). What happens is the calcium, salts and other deposits form in the pores of the bio wheel fiber, not allowing bacteria to form there. This is the main reason for the lack of effectiveness for bio wheels. My tests in Discus aquariums (which are soft water) showed better results for bio wheels (although not as well as sponge or other porous media).
[2] Lack of surface area; a bio wheel does not have the surface are of many other bio media products from sponge media to the very porous pumice media used by Eheim and others.
[3] Bio wheel stalls; bio wheels have a bad habit of stalling. This is only a minor reason to not have these bio wheels as this is a correctable problem.
Here is a way correct this problem (this will be an on going maintenance problem). Make sure the Teflon ends on the bio wheel axle are clean and have no build ups of calcium you can replace these with Teflon tape in a pinch. Also make sure the bio wheel assembly is not to tight, simply remove the bio wheel and gently stretch the assembly apart so the wheel can spin more freely.

Toxic Hazards Linked to Plastic Baby Bottles - What is Your Baby Really Consuming?
A common plastic used to make baby bottles is polycarbonate plastic. Studies from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Consumers Union and researchers at Nagasaki University in Japan show that when baby bottles made with polycarbonate plastic are heated a hormone-disrupting chemical called, bisphenol-A (BPA), is released. That hormone leaches into the milk in the bottle. The same scientists found that used bottles leached up to double the amount of chemicals as new bottles because the plastic is less stable than in new bottles.
Bisphenol - A is an artificial estrogen and researches have known for years that it is harmful to animals and humans alike, especially during fetal development. Scientists have found and presented the dangers of BPA to the Environmental Protection Agency, who hasn't yet banned it from the market place despite the health risks that have been identified. The dangers include decreased sperm production in males, prostate hyperplasia -- excessive growth of prostate tissue, early onset of puberty, chromosome damage in female ovaries and a variety of behavioral changes.
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), is another common plastic used to make baby bottles. It is the most toxic plastic to human health and the environment. PVC has been linked to IQ deficiencies, learning disabilities, impaired hearing, and reduced attention spans, as well as other behavior problems.
In general plastics like Tupperware and other storage containers that are commonly made with polycarbonate plastic or polyvinyl chloride are a dangerous place to store food, therefore use glass containers instead. Plastic containers leach toxic chemicals into the items they store, like the food that you eat. The dangers further increase when food is heated in these plastic containers, since the heat breaks down the plastic and destabilizes it, thus increasing the release of toxic chemicals into your food. An even more dangerous situation is heating food in plastic containers in the microwave; this further accelerates the release of toxic chemicals into the contents of the container. So, just don't do it.
Safety concerns behind plastic pacifiers, teethers and nipples
Beware of, plastic pacifiers, teethers, and nipples because they can be made with materials that contain phthalates. Phthalates is a commonly used chemical that is found in nail polish, make up, soft plastics and much more. Because it is fat soluble it collects in fatty tissue of humans where it is stored. It is absorbed through the skin, lungs and by ingesting. It has adverse health affects in the liver, the kidneys, the lungs and the reproductive system. It has been associated with premature breast development in young girls, adverse effects on genital development in male children, as well as reduced sperm count in adult males.
Take caution because infants receive large doses of these chemicals because they spend most of their time indoors and breathe, metabolize, and ingest faster than adults do. Furthermore, these plastics are found in many household products, cosmetics, vinyl and toys. Additionally, food is contaminated by these chemicals through packaging.
So what do mom's do to solve this problem and protect their babies from exposure to plastic?
* Use glass bottles and silicon nipples. To protect baby from glass shards when using a glass bottle be sure to dispose of the bottle if it is at all chipped or damaged in anyway. Glass bottles can be found at Amazon.com, Babysupermall.com or Medela.com.
* When baby is old enough to hold the bottle then switch to a plastic bottle made with polyethylene or polypropylene they have the recycle #'s 1, 2, 4 or 5 on the bottle. Gerber, Evenflo and Rubbermade all make these kinds of bottles so they will be easy to find. Stay with the silicone nipples. Make sure that the bottle and nipples don't have any cracks where bacteria can live. If they do don't buy them or throw them into the trash.
* Don't purchase the bottles that have decorations on the inside of the bottle as they leach off into babies milk.
* Never heat babies formula or any bottle in the microwave!!! If you are using a plastic bottle you are accelerating the leaching of chemicals into babies formula but you are also destroying and breaking down the nutritional value of the formula.
* Don't heat formula in the plastic bottle even when heating in a pan of hot water. Instead heat formula in a non-Teflon pan and then poor it into the bottle when it is warm not hot. (Teflon when heated gives off carcinogens, and is linked to birth defects. It is found in 95% of humans. The dangerous chemical found in Teflon is not going to be used after 2015.)
* How do you know if nipples are silicone? Silicone nipples are clear not yellow/amber plastic. Silicone lasts longer than plastic nipples. Avent Slow Flow Nipple and Dr. Brown's Sampler Pack Standard Silicone Nipples 3-Pack can be found at Amazon.com. When buying, be sure to check the nipple carefully for cracks where bacteria can live. If there are cracks don't buy the nipple. On a regular basis check nipples that you already bought for cracks throw them away immediately when they are cracked. Before each use sterilize the nipples by washing them in soapy warm water or putting them in the dishwasher. This is also the rule of thumb for safe pacifiers, teethers and baby bottles whether plastic or glass.
Congratulations on another toxic problem overcome. Together we can make a difference in our children's lives and our future generation's lives. Let's leave the earth for the children a little better than we found it.

Dangers and Myths About Plastic Water Bottles, BPA
In this article, Mike Adams puts the dangers and myths surrounding plastic water bottles into perspective and offers helpful tips on selecting water filters. Mike Adams is the founder of NaturalNews.com.
Kevin: Well, Mike, I want to welcome you to this call.
Mike: Hey, Kevin.. It's great to be here. Thanks for having me join this program.
Kevin: It's an absolute honor and there are probably a few people who don't know who you are, or maybe haven't heard of some of the stuff that you've done before. So why don't we give everyone just a brief introduction and then we'll move right into the water aspect. We have a lot of stuff to cover today.
Mike: Okay, sure. Well, I'm the founder and editor of Natural News.com. It's a website to reaches now well over a million readers a month with news, headlines, alerts, warnings about everything to do with natural health and the benefits of natural medicine and the potential dangers of pharmaceuticals and conventional medicine. It's just a great informational resource. I love doing that.
Kevin: If anyone hasn't gone over there to naturalnews.com you'll find a whole bunch of great stuff and it's nice to read some of it, because it's very refreshing. That's what I found.
Mike: We can pull our punches. We tell it like it is and I try to maintain a lot of informed skepticism about what I'm writing about, so I'm always doing independent product reviews and things like that to the readers.
Kevin: We're going to talk a little bit about skepticism, because we've already prepped for this call, but what I want to start with is, since we're talking about water I want about talk about something is so prevalent in our media now and probably will be for a while and it's the use of plastic as applied to water. So water bottles, even in cooking or microwaving plastic containers and all that, let's talk about some of the things that we should be concerned about when we're dealing with plastic bottles.
Mike: Well, I think people are very well aware of the Bisphenol A danger, BPA as it's called. There has been a lot of press recently about this chemical in plastic bottles and baby bottles. Did you hear that, I think it was Toys "R" Us is going to stop selling baby bottles made with that chemical now?
Kevin: Wow.
Mike: That was an interesting development, but like a lot of stories in the press it's very hard to put into context. I think people need to be aware of the proper context for this potential risk. Yes, these plastic bottles contain BPA. Yes, if you drink water that's vigorously shaken in these bottles, which it all is done during shipping, by the way and you do that for 10 or 20 years, then sure, it probably increases your risk for cancer, but I want to make people aware that drinking a can of soda is far more toxic, probably orders of magnitude more toxic to your body than drinking a bottle of water from a plastic bottle. Eating food that was cooked in Teflon, in my view, is orders of magnitude more toxic than drinking something of a plastic bottle or eating hydrogenated oils or fried foods or things like that or smoking a cigarette. You could probably drink a thousand bottles of water that were from plastic bottles and it would be less toxic to you than smoking one cigarette. So you've got to put this into perspective. I drink out of plastic bottles from time to time. It's not my first choice, but I do it when I'm traveling and I don't freak out about it.
Kevin: Yeah. I know that the number seven bottle has come under fire recently. Is that the only one to be somewhat concerned about, or is it across the board?
Mike: No. It's across the board.
Kevin: Okay..
Mike: As I understand it, the lower the number the more toxic the bottles can be. You don't want to drink of the really cheap bottles, which are often number two or number three. The seven is better than the lower numbers and you certainly don't want to be feeding your baby - really, if there's one area to be legitimately concerned, it's with infants and children, but as an adult if you are taking a lot of anticancer nutrients and you're eating sprouts and you're taking some super foods, you're exercising and getting vitamin D, then the occasional drink out of a plastic bottle is nothing to be alarmed about.
Kevin: What about alternatives, like the stainless steel water bottles, or say, something like a glass lined thermos?
Mike: I think glass is great to drink out of. That's what I usually do. I even take that to the gym, even though they don't like the fact that I'm carrying around a glass bottle.
Kevin: Right.
Mike: For obvious reasons, but some people are drinking out of aluminum bottles, which I think is crazy. How is aluminum better than plastic? Stainless steel is definitely the better way to go in all of this. When you get stainless steel you want steel that has low nickel content, because there are different types of stainless steel. They're made with chromium and nickel and whatever and they're all alloys. So you want low nickel content, because everything that's in that steel, eventually some of it gets in your body and nickel is not a great nutrient to have in large quantities for sure.
Kevin: Right. Do you know how you would know if it's got low nickel? I guess a hip company would put that out there.
Mike: You can go online and search for the stainless steel number. For example, a lot of stainless steel is number 420 or something. The 420 means that it has a certain percentage, I think like 5% nickel and 13% chromium or something like that. I don't know the exact numbers, but I know you can find it. So find out the stainless steel number. Like stainless steel number 380 or 420 or something like that.

What Are the Best Hair Straightners?
Every since Straightening became the new thing over 5years ago the hair straightening world has just got bigger and bigger. It's not only hairdresser's getting in on the act but its celebrities, small companies and shops all trying to make money out of straightening hair.
Hairdresser's all use Straightners nowadays but not only for straightening but for curling as well as flicks this especially used for shorter hair styles. It can give your hair a fantastic shine but it can also make your have become brittle, looks unhealthy with split ends, the best thing to do is only straighten your hair a few days a week not everyday.
More and more celebrities and famous hairdressers are creating their own Straightners and selling these in high street shops and good hairdressers. Most hair straightners are black in colour but the GHD Limited Edition at the moment are fuchsia pink which is great for us girlies but they do come at a price of around £120.00.
I had a pair of cheap £9.99 pink straightners when straightners first began to come into the shops I thought they were fantastic in my favourite colour too, but then I tried my friends and hers worked so much better so I decided to go and buy a new paid I believe were Babyliss they were a little better but had thinner plates so it was taking me even longer to do my hair as mine is quite thick and long then I bought a pair of cheap Remington ones but they weren't very good never actually straightened my hair. A few months after that, after visiting a salon and having my hair coloured blonde and pink and having it all layered they straightened it once it was complete and it looked fab it really did, the straightners got hot really quickly nothing liked the ones I had at home 20minutes before I wanted to use them I would have to put them on. So I found the price out of these ones they were £60.00 - I thought this was very expensive as I was only on £300.00 a month but I decided to save my money up the next month and I bought a pair that was 5 years ago and they still work they are Futura and I would recommend them to anyone with thicker and longer hair. I've never had any problems with them, so overall those have been a very good investment. I have now decided I want a new pair, ones with slimmer plates so I can use them to curl my hair too. IM hoping I might get the Mark Hill ones with the pink plates love them there around £100.00 I'm hoping there worth it, until you've tried them you don't know.
There are so many different makes of hair straightners out there so which ones to choose is the question!!! Here are a few of the ones I've heard are good to use and heat up quickly:
o GHD black or pink (depends if you want to spend an extra £20 for pink ones)
o Babyliss 2085U Pro 230
o Andrew Collinge Straight N Shine
o Chill Professional Solid Ceramic
o Corioliss Purple
o Daniel Hersheson Ceramic
o EasyStraight One Week
o Farouk Chi Turbo 2" Flat Iron
o Fox Salon Styler Ceramic
o Futura Ceramic
o KIKI Tourmaline Ceramic

o Remington PR4000 Professional Ceramic Slim
o Remington S3002 Teflon Hair
o SCP Hair Straightners Mk 5.2C
o T3 Tourmaline Straightners by Hairart

o Go-Straight Digital Titanium
All of the above have very good reviews from my friends and family as well as good compare websites. So if I was to buy another pair I would definitely start by looking at the above list.
Happy Hair Straightening!!!

Why a Stainless Steel Base is Important For All Nitrous Solenoids
In order for a nitrous solenoid to work properly it will need to be stable and durable. A stainless steel base can be used in the construction of the solenoid to help with getting the solenoid to work securely over time. It is a great material for the construction of a solenoid for a variety of reasons.
It is a commonly used steel alloy that is used in various construction applications. This type of material is noted for its ability to handle corrosion. Corrosion occurs when oxygen comes into contact with a material. This can cause rusting that can be very damaging to a metal and can cause it to become weak. Because of how it can handle corrosion it is a popular material for solenoids. This is especially the case for ones for nitrous kits because of how nitrous oxide contains a large amount of oxygen.
Some bacteria can impact a nitrous kit in that it can get into the nitrous oxide and get into the engine that uses the material. This can cause the engine to lose energy over time. It is known for being an antibacterial form of steel in that it the chromium that makes up much of this alloy can handle bacteria at a greater level than other metals can. By keeping bacteria from developing on its surface the solenoid will be protecting not only the nitrous kit but also the engine that uses it.
A great amount of maintenance is not required for a nitrous solenoid that is made with a base. Stainless steel will not bend as easily as other types of metals can and it is more resistant to cracks. This makes it an easier part to handle among materials on a nitrous kit.
